UBC Varsity Rowing
High-School Rowing
I began rowing at Thunder, a junior club in Richmond, B.C., when I was 15. I immediately fell in love with the sport and was thrilled at the opportunity to become exceptional at something. During high school, my teammates and I won or podiumed in every event we competed in across British Columbia and Seattle. We also podiumed, or placed competitively, in the double and quad events at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in St. Catharines, Ontario.
UBC Varsity
I continued to row with UBC Varsity during the 2022–2023 fall, spring, and summer seasons, and the 2023 fall season. While at UBC, I competed at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta, internationally at multiple regattas in Seattle, Washington, and locally in British Columbia.
Why Rowing?
Rowing combines perfecting a single repetitive motion with increasing the limits of your physiology and mind. This simple combination leads to training and competition that is incredibly meditative and gives a very tangible path to success. Having a clearly defined path to success made my training incredibly enjoyable.
